Maintaining excellent tactical discipline in the midfield will be one of the requirements for Bafana to go through their toughest opponent yet at the 2023 AFCON when they face one of the tournament favourites in Morocco.
The two teams clash at the Laurent Pokou stadium in San Pedro on Tuesday at 8pm (10pm SA Time).
Broos is happy how Mokoena and Sithole complement each other and trusts them to do the business on Tuesday night.
"Yaya is more the guy with energy, with the power. Teboho is more of a guy who's a better football player but both make a very good team in the midfield. So, I'm happy certainly, from Teboho we knew he was a very good player in his role but what I see from Sithole now here at AFCON, he made a big progress and he's a big help for Teboho in the midfield. In recuperation for the ball, for the power and again, they are very complimentary and I'm very happy with them," Broos said.
Bafana Bafana have played Morocco twice in the last two years in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers, losing the opening game in Rabat in 2022 but returning to beat them at home in June last year.
Broos says these results give them confidence ahead of this clash.
"Morocco is another level, they proved it in the World Cup, last World Cup in Qatar. They are a very good team with very good players but we played already two times against them and in Morroco we were a little bit dominated but Joburg we won against them, we played a very good game so that must give us comfort for the game of Tuesday and knowing that even against such a good team as good as Morocco there are things which are possible.
“So, we have to believe in it and then we will see Tuesday after the game if we can beat Morocco and if we could, then we'll play against a winner of Mauritania against Cape Verde."
